CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea-Eusebia. Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Drachm (18mm, 2.94 g, 12h). Dated RY 4 (AD 240/1). AV KAI M ANT ΓOPΔIANOC CЄ, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Mt. Argaeus surmounted by star; B-(NE) across upper field, ЄT Δ (date) in exergue. Cf. Bland, Last 63/54 (for obv./rev.); Sydenham, Caesarea –. Good VF, lightly toned, surfaces slightly granular. Rare variety.
